Camila Grimaldi (she/her) is an Argentine-American filmmaker based in Brooklyn. Under the banner Ser Nocturna (previously Fazed Films), she has worked with clients such as Atlantic Records, Universal, and Warner Music. Her short film Lejana Tierra Mía screened at the New Faces New Voices Film Festival in 2020. She has produced multiple award-winning shorts which have screened at Woodstock Film Festival, Cleveland International Film Festival, and Montclair Film Festival, among others. Camila is also a 2023 Film Independent Producing Lab Fellow.
Nicole Lynn Cohen (she/her) is a Brooklyn-based writer who cut her teeth working at Bona Fide Productions under Oscar-winning producers Albert Berger and Ron Yerxa (Little Miss Sunshine, Nebraska). She was an Executive Assistant at SpectreVision where she worked under founders Elijah Wood and Daniel Noah (Mandy, A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night). Her original screenplays have placed in the Atlanta Film Festival Screenplay Competition, the Austin Film Festival, and ScreenCraft’s Competitions.
Polina Buchak (she/her) is a New York-based filmmaker from Ukraine. Polina has produced a number of short films that screened at Urbanworld Film Festival, Athena Film Festival, and DOC NYC, and produced branded content for Netflix, HULU, David Yurman, and more. She was an Associate Producer for Aggie, a documentary which explores the nexus of art, race, and justice through the story of art collector and philanthropist Agnes Gund’s life (Sundance 2020). Her short film Sunflower Field premiered at the Oscar-Qualifying Cleveland International Film Festival and won Best Animated Short at Woodstock Film Festival.
Kevin Xian Ming Yu (they/he) is a director and cinematographer from Queens, NY. Kevin was a 2020 Sundance Ignite Finalist. They are committed to telling underrepresented stories, specifically about the Asian-American communities and diaspora in New York. As a DP, Kevin has worked on many short films and two narrative feature films, Verde and Anna Comes Home. Their work has screened at festivals like Nashville Film Festival, New Orleans Film Festival, NFMLA and has been featured on Directors Notes and The A.V. Club.
Jaclyn Goldstein (she/her) is a NYC based experimental filmmaker and production designer from Dallas, TX. Working primarily in music videos and short films, her work is absurd, campy, and colorful with a personal touch. She's had the pleasure of screening her films at numerous festivals around the world including NFFTY, Scout Film Festival, Final Girls Berlin Film Festival, and Les Femmes Underground Film Festival. Her film "I remember it from up close" most recently won a jury award for Best Experimental (Student) at NFFTY.
Arielle Friedman (she/her) is a Colombian-American actor and filmmaker based in NYC. Arielle was a professional dancer at the world-renowned ballet company BalletMet in Columbus, Ohio, before pursuing a degree in Film Studies at Columbia University. Her acting and directorial debut film Countdown (2021) premiered at Portland Film Festival. She also co-directed and starred in the short film Immutable Uncertainties (2022), which won the Audience Choice Award at NFFTY and was then featured on Director’s Notes and Beyond the Short. Arielle has gone on to act in multiple short films. She’s also the co-founder of Ser Nocturna (previously Fazed Films), and has produced multiple short films and music videos for clients like Atlantic Records and Interscope Records under her banner.
Taylor Rosen (he/him) is an actor, writer, filmmaker, and film & literary critic based in New York City. He has worked with many talented artists including the Academy Award winning screenwriter Alex Dinelaris. Taylor wrote and directed The Punch of Respect which won best comedy at the New York Shorts International Film Festival. He starred in the film Immutable Uncertainties which won the audience choice award at NFFTY.
